In the Braj region of Uttar Pradesh, which includes Mathura, Vrindavan, Gowardhan, Gokul, Nandagaon, and Barsana, Holi holds special significance as it is believed to be related to Lord Krishna. The region hosts some of the most famous Holi rituals, including the renowned Lathmar Holi in Barsana. During the 40 days of Holi in Braj, various festivals occur in temples daily, culminating in the vibrant celebrations over the 7 days of Holi, featuring events like Barsana Laddu Holi and Lathmar Holi.
