Ranthambhore continues to see more changes in how safaris will operate from October 2023. In July Forest Department had announced that the park shall remain closed for tourist activities on all Wednesdays. After much protest from service providers, hoteliers, and travel companies (as much travel was already planned and confirmed till April 2024) the department this month (October2023) decided that they shall not keep some of the tourist zones closed on a Tuesday and the remaining zones closed on Wednesday. So now Zones 1-5 (of the total 10 zones) shall remain closed on a Tuesday whereas Zones 6-10 shall remain closed on a Wednesday. This means that the number of jeeps entering the park on Tuesday as well as Wednesday shall remain limited to half as compared to other days of the week.
