Air India and Virgin Atlantic are set to launch non-stop flights between Bengaluru and London in April, connecting Kempegowda International Airport with Gatwick and Heathrow airports. This move will double the traffic volume on this route. Virgin Atlantic intends to offer additional baggage allowance to UK-bound students. Currently, British Airways is the only airline offering non-stop flights between Bengaluru and London. The new services are expected to significantly increase convenience and options for passengers, with Air India targeting operations from April 1 and Virgin Atlantic starting on April 4. These flights will cater not only to direct travelers but also to those using Heathrow as a transit point to Canada or the US.
