I have realised that I have forgotten to write to you to say ‘thank-you’ for the services of Creative Travel. At the end of January, I came to India as Team Leader for a group of Rotarians involved in the polio NID project. We should have been carrying out the immunization at Bhiwadi, but this was changed at short notice to Gurgaon. However, we had to stay at our hotel in Bhiwadi and commute to Gurgaon. This was my fourth trip to India, and on each occasion, our stay has been arranged by Creative Travel, and on each occasion, I have come home feeling very happy and impressed with the service we’ve had from Creative Travel. In addition to this, I have been fortunate to have Mr. Jaspal Singh as our Guide on this trip and also on previous occasions. As Team Leader we sometimes encounter problems or issues which require delicate handling or clear communication. With Jaspal’s invaluable help we overcame such issues whilst remaining civil and respectful. One example was when we visited a town to carry out immunization, but our hosts seemed to be more interested in an endless circuit of photographs. We weren’t getting anywhere and time was ticking away. Jaspal explained our frustrations to our hosts without offending them, after which the project moved forward and our team managed to immunize a few hundred children during the day. In addition to this, Jaspal has been so enthusiastic about the Eradicate Polio project that he became part of the team and immunized many children. He has helped me in many ways and has strengthened my confidence wherever we have gone. Many of the team members have come to rely on Jaspal for assistance and advice, and many of us now count him as a friend. He’s an excellent ambassador for Creative Travel. I’ve been meaning to write to you since I came home, and I apologize for the delay. If I visit India again I will use Creative, and if Jaspal is available I would always ask for him.
