The Mughal gardens built on the sprawling grounds of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the Indian president, are a true spectacle, rarely accessible to the public at large. But every year, the gardens are thrown open to the public for a month, for the annual Udyanotsav.

What’s Special: Tulips are the one of the main attractions here, with nearly 10,000 bulbs of eight varieties, imported from Netherlands. There are also over 250 varieties of roses, including the unique green and black ones; six spectacular lotus-shaped fountains; and one of the best collections of Bonsais in the country.
