In a big boost to the tourism industry, hill destination Dharamshala will now be connected to the city of Chandigarh via air for the first time, under the regional connectivity scheme of Government of India.
This development has brought cheers among stakeholders of the tourism industry in the region. Dharamshala-Chandigarh flight was a long-pending demand. Flights are slated to begin 16 November 2019. Fares have been set at Rs. 1,700 per passenger.
