Air India’s Tata-led rebranding

Air India has unveiled a fresh global brand identity, including a redesigned logo, updated aircraft livery, and a modern ‘Maharaja,’ as the Tata Group takes the helm. The airline’s traditional red arched window accents have been replaced with a sleeker design, gracing the tail fin with gold, red, and purple hues, while a bold red and gold underbelly now proudly displays the airline’s name.

The novel logo, named ‘The Vista,’ draws inspiration from the peak of the gold window frame, symbolizing a profound “window of possibilities.” Air India Sans, a custom-made font, complements a palette featuring deep red, aubergine, and gold, accentuated by a chakra-inspired pattern. This transformation positions Air India as a premium, inclusive, and accessible carrier.
