Costlier entry to new museums at Red Fort

The newly inaugurated museums at Red Fort have opened their doors to the public at a higher fee.

According to a notification by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), while Indians and visitors from SAARC countries will have to pay Rs 30 in cash or Rs 21 for cashless payment, other foreigners will be charged Rs 350 or Rs 320.

The new museums are located at the British barracks and showcase themes like the First War of Indian Independence 1857, Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the INA Movement, and a collaboration between the ASI and Delhi Art Gallery.
