The first direct flight from Guwahati was given water salute on its arrival at Patna airport on 10 October.
The flight completes its one-way journey in one hour and 10 minutes. It received a good response from the flyers on its maiden journey as 75 out of 189 seats had been booked for Patna and 140 for Guwahati (SG-462).
Another maiden flight to Ahmedabad from Patna is set to start on 29 October. Patna airport now has direct air connectivity to 11 cities, including Allahabad, Bengaluru, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Ranchi and Varanasi. Currently, 94 flights are operated daily from Patna airport.
