FLY91, the regional airline based in Goa, is set to commence its commercial flight operations on March 18, linking Goa to Bengaluru and Hyderabad. With a workforce of approximately 350 employees expected by the end of its inaugural year, FLY91 aims to establish a sustainable and scalable business model. Currently operating with two ATR 72-600 aircraft, the airline plans to expand its fleet by adding four more planes within the first year. FLY91 anticipates achieving break-even within two years of operation. Initially, the airline will operate weekly flights from Goa’s Manohar International Airport to Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
FLY91, India’s newest airline, has commenced its maiden flight from Goa to Agatti, an atoll in the Lakshadweep islands. Inspired by the country code ‘+91’ that symbolizes unity across India, FLY91 aims to unite Indians by providing accessible air travel and improving last-mile connectivity, especially to India’s 2nd and 3rd-tier cities. Commercial flights are scheduled to commence on March 18, with the first departure from Goa’s Manohar International Airport, Mopa, heading to Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. Additionally, there will be a flight from Bengaluru to Sindudurg on the same day.
