IndiGo announced Jeddah and Dammam as its 17th and 18th international destinations.
Mumbai will also be connected to Abu Dhabi, which is already an existing IndiGo destination. Effective June 5, 2019, the airline is operating daily non-stop flights between Mumbai-Jeddah and Mumbai-Abu Dhabi; as well as daily non-stop flights between Mumbai-Dammam.
Jeddah is the commercial capital and the gateway for Haj, while Dammam is a growth centre in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi a major cultural and commercial centre, making these critical hubs to connect with India’s commercial capital, Mumbai.
