Kochi, the south Indian city known for its coastal beauty and old-world colonial spirit, has been chosen by international travel guide Lonely Planet as one of the top 10 destinations for 2020.
Known as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea,” the city attracts tourists with its laidback vibe and architectural jewels such as Fort Kochi, St. Francis Church and Jewish synagogues. It’s also one of the most eco-friendly destinations of the country and is known for being a historic coastal town on the Spice Route. For art lovers, the Kochi-Muziris Biennale is a must-visit.
