Tourists will soon be able to cruise to Goa, Kochi and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands from Mumbai on with the Mumbai – Bali cruise.
As part of the plan, the Mumbai Port Trust is developing a state-of-the-art cruise terminal near Ballard Pier, which will cater to over 7 lakh passengers annually, once it’s fully ready next year.
Currently, India sees between 160-200 cruise arrivals each year. The government is aiming to take this up to nearly 1,000 over the next five years.
There is also the popular Mumbai-Bangkok cruise, which covers the distance over 16 days with Goa, Colombo, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Koh Samui among the ports of call.
