The Rajasthan Tourism Department is innovating to promote destination weddings, aiming to establish the state as a premier wedding venue. The Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) has enabled the Palace on Wheels, renowned for its luxury, to host destination weddings. This initiative includes provisions for pre- and post-wedding photoshoots on the train. Additionally, the Tourism Department is upgrading facilities at Rajasthan’s tourist destinations to meet global standards, attracting more foreign and domestic tourists. With 75% of India’s heritage properties, Rajasthan is a preferred destination for weddings. Cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur boast numerous forts and mansions, making them attractive venues. While Rajasthan has countless heritage properties, about 120 of them currently host destination weddings, highlighting the state’s popularity and suitability for such events.
