Surajkund Crafts Mela

A splash of colours, rhythm of drum beats and joie de-vivre merge at Surajkund during the first fortnight of February. This is the acclaimed annual Surajkund International Crafts Mela, a celebration of Indian folk traditions and cultural heritage. More than a million visitors come to the fare each year to witness the work of artisans and craftsmen for across India and the SAARC nations.

Where: Surajkund, Faridabad on the outskirts of Delhi

What’s Special: Every year, the fare gives one Indian state the opportunity to be the prime highlight of the year, which means they can present the look and feel for the grounds and showcase their culture in a unique way. For 2019, it’s the vibrant state of Maharashtra.
