From tiger safaris to cow safaris, Rajasthan is now set to launch a unique wildlife expedition to observe cows, and if it works, a bull safari will be next!
Hingonia Gaushala, a state-owned cow shelter on the outskirts of Jaipur, will allow visitors temporary stays. They will also be able to spend time among its 15,000 cows.
Visitors can watch them graze, feed them, clean them, massage them and even milk them. If they are just there for sightseeing, 30 breeds of Indian cows will be on offer. For the more adventurous, there is the chance to climb up on top of “machans” (scaffoldings) on tall trees.
The latest move comes after Rajasthan became the first state in the country to have a ministry of cows with a cow minister, way back in 2014.
