TOFT unveils new eco-auditing system ‘Footprint’; to replace “PUG’ eco-rating

The latest ranking is aligned to Indian Sustainable Tourism Criteria.

With an intent to make the eco-rating system more receptive to lodge owners in India, Travel Operators For Tigers (TOFT) has decided to come up with a new eco-auditing and accreditation specific to India called ‘Footprint’.

TOFT is an association and international campaign which advocates and promotes sustainable and responsible best practices in destinations associated with wildlife tourism. TOFT had introduced ‘PUG’ eco-rating and accreditation for wildlife lodges almost a decade ago which is so far highly recognised accreditation and eco-rating internationally.

TOFT after piloting the ‘Footprint’ eco-rating and accreditation in few Madhya Pradesh Tourism- operated wildlife lodges, has formally announced the launch of the new programme here during a B2B workshop in Delhi.
