The iconic Taj Mahal is all set to remain open after sunset for tourists. Till now, night access to this globally renowned monument was allowed only during five nights in a month, i.e., during full moon night and on the two nights preceding and following the full moon.
This should be welcoming news for tourists, who will now be able to witness this beauty at its aesthetic best under the moonlight. According to the ministry, they have been receiving a lot of requests to keep the monument open during nights and that they are dedicated to turning this into a reality.
As per the new reports, the Tourism Ministry is also planning to illuminate the area around Taj Mahal and develop the infrastructure that will be necessary to manage the night rush. As of now, the Tourism Ministry is engaging with various departments to get clearances for the new plan.
