Maha Shivaratri – The ‘Great Night of Shiva’

Maha Shivaratri is celebrated with devotion in honour of Lord Shiva, one of the deities of the Hindu Trinity. On the full moon night, devotees come together to sing hymns and devotional songs in praise of the Lord. It is believed that the people who fast on this night and offer prayers to Lord Shiva bring good luck into their life.
