In an effort to balance tourism with sustainability, Karnataka is the latest state to introduce electronic bikes for tourists to explore the city.
Several companies are now offering immersive experientialtours on smart e-bikes, providing a clean mode of transport to the tourists and locals. The move is aimed at the promoting eco-tourism in the country, with places such as Gujarat, Goa and Puducherry already embracing zero emission electric vehicles for tourists.
Karnataka has been on the tourist radar recently as an increasing popular destination, especially for the ancient city of Hampi which was ranked second in New York Times’ Places to See in 2019.
